Holidays are over and back to normal life!

I can't believe we are already in 2009, the year went so fast. I had a great Christmas with my family, I was able to have my mom and dad here which was really nice. The girls were so excited to get a trampoline this year and I must admit I am too! I am hoping it can entertain Brooklyn so she will not be so BORED as she always says. I was also glad that I had the opportunity to spend so time with my sister and her family. I do wish they lived closer so that the kids could see each other more often. I have posted a few pics to show our Christmas morning and a picture of me and Scott in Gatlinburg! Happy New Year! I haven't figured out how to do my pictures exactly so don't laugh.

Halloween Day

Well the party went really well for Brianna, we really didn't have the trick or treaters that I thought we would have in the neighborhood. I was glad to see only a few kids at least enough so that Scott and I could control the group! It was really nice to see Brianna having such a good time with her little friends. I think they danced the night away and pumped themselves full of Mountain Dew and Coke. It was funny only two guys showed up and they kept looking at the girls while they would dance like they are CRAZY! I am so glad that Scott took off early because we really had a lot to do that day to finish. Brooklyn went to trunk r treat with Russ and she loved it! I sure hope that Grammy took some pics because she ran off before I could even grab my camera. I plan to put some pics on tomorrow so that when I tell my family I have a blog they can look at. I am very excited for Thanksgiving to get here, we are spending it at Tiffany's and hopefully the GROWN girls can go shopping!

2 days before the big PARTY

It's amazing that during the day I have no energy but once 8 pm roles around I'm ready to GO! Tonight was crazy for me and the girls, first I have Brianna begging me to go to wa-mart to buy the food for the party. I didn't have to be asked that much because I would be making sweets and of course there will be left overs. YUM YUM. I get home and no sooner in the drive Brooklyn says "Mom did you get my jersey for tomorrow"? oh no I really didn't think the girl would remember, yes I know that is terrible to wish but little did she know I priced the jerseys at wal-mart and for a funky Ky Wildcats it was $22! Yea no way for just one day of wearing...... So what do I have to do? Yes I have to load myself and Brooklyn in the car to find a flipping jersey for tomorrow, so we go to two stores and finally find something that will do for jersey day! I made some of the sweets that we are doing for the party and gosh I really remember that I love starting the cooking project but man oh man I hate completing the whole task that follows! ex: wash all dishes straighten the whole kitchen all over again. I am excited for Brianna for her party and I am hoping she has a good turn out, you never want your kid not to be liked! I say that but man do I have days that she really gets under my skin! lol It really has been very sweet to see how much work Scott has put into this party thing, he has even gotten his dad out here doing stuff. I was really glad to see that Brianna sent him a message saying thanks for your help in putting all this together. I better get one for slaving over the freaking food and trying not to eat all of it. I am going to post some pics tomorrow of the decorations for the party, Brianna hasn't seen either so this will be so FUN! So this night ends with desserts being made and the jersey being ironed for the big day at school tomorrow.

Pumpkin Carving

Today was a beautiful day and we made sure that we stayed out as much as possible! The evening ended with us roasting hotdogs and carving the pumpkins that have been waiting for weeks to be made "SPOOKY". I was so proud of Brianna getting out there and carving hers all by herself, and might I say did a wonderful job! Of course for some strange reason the hotdogs always taste better roasted over an fire. Its funny I really don't eat hotdogs that much but for some odd reason I lived on them this weekend. (harvest festival and the roast we had here). I can't believe how cold it is getting so soon. We have a crazy week ahead of us to plan Brianna's halloween party, thank goodness Scott likes to decorate and be in charge of things like that. I told them both just leave me in charge of the food but hmmmm that is a tempting job to taste test everything being made.

Blah Day

Today is one of those days that I dont want to clean, fold clothes or anything having to do with the house! I really enjoyed this morning because I was able to eat breakfast with Brooklyn and Scott, I wished that Brianna wouldve gotten up earlier to join (but she had to focus on getting ready)! I truly enjoy these days that I have with the girls, it is truly something I haven't had in a long time! Yes, we are doing without a lot of the luxury items that we had when I worked but yet I feel that I have gained so much more in place of. I am just focused on keeping Brianna and Brooklyn mentally and physically where they need to be to stay strong in life. I never knew how hard it was for my parents until Brianna hit the "early" teen years! yikes. I just give her examples from my life the good and bad things and focus on what her ambitions in life are. Of course with Brooklyn I can't get ten feet from her so my goal is to always set that example because I know her beautiful blue eyes are watching. I better go finish the house..ugh but Brianna is having a friend over and I want the house to look nice and inviting for company.
